The group works inside the Blockchain Game Alliance, which already has hundreds of members from the blockchain gaming space.

Each partner brings something useful. For example, one handles payments for big game studios, another runs a network that skips gas fees, and one offers a large virtual economy. Dubai’s free zone adds legal support through its AI and gaming centers.

Why Standards Matter Now

Leaders in the group say that without shared rules, big investors will stay away. A common set of standards makes it easier for serious money to enter the space. They see AI agents not as better players but as full economic actors that join markets and shape game economies.

Three big changes are happening at once in digital games: true ownership through blockchain, smarter AI that can reason, and easy payment systems. The council wants to guide how these changes mix in a safe way.

Early Work and Next Steps

The group already released a report on agentic AI in gaming. It covers definitions, tech choices, how agents fit into live games, payments, and legal issues. Tools like new identity standards are also coming online to support this future.
